L&I says contractors can now submit certified payrolls electronically

The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries recently launched the option for contractors to upload payroll records on public works projects to create certified payroll reports.

Currently, L&I’s online reporting system allows contractors to hand-enter all payroll information to generate the reports, which can quickly become time-consuming with multiple employees. Now, contractors can upload their project payroll records using an XML file, and L&I’s system will validate the information and create the certified payroll reports.
