Contact your State House & Senate members NOW to urge them to OPPOSE the billion-dollar tax increase!
Legislative leaders have announced that they are close to a deal to set the state’s 2019-2021 operating budget. However, we are very concerned that this budget will include at least some of the tax proposals that have been under consideration: A new 9.9% capital-gains tax on certain taxpayers, an increase in the real-estate excise tax on properties valued over $1.5M, and an increase in the B&O tax by 20% on many businesses, including many involved in construction such as architects, engineers, surveyors, bond and insurance firms, environmental consultants, construction managers and more.
These taxes are being proposed even though state revenues have increased by $5.6 billion since last year, thanks to our strong economy!
Let your voice be heard! Click HERE now to send a message to your House and Senate members to urge them to OPPOSE these unnecessary new taxes!
