AGC’s Career Awareness Bill

AGC’s Past President Nancy Munro and Executive Vice President David D’Hondt testified on Feb. 14 before the Senate Higher Education Committee in support of AGC priority legislation that would create a career awareness training matching grant program (SSB 5713).

This legislation is modeled after a bill that passed last year in Colorado which has been successful at getting people between the ages of 19-29 interested in starting careers in the construction industry.

SSB 5713 is now in the Senate Rules Committee awaiting floor action.
