AGC's BUILD PAC honors Senator Ann Rivers with 2015 Legislator of the Year award
During AGC’s recent Lobby Day in Olympia AGC Second Vice President Jake Jacobson (Osborne Construction) and Chief Lobbyist Jerry VanderWood paid a visit to Senator Ann Rivers to present her with AGC’s BUILD PAC 2015 Legislator of the Year award.
Sen. Rivers was previously announced as the recipient during AGC of Washington’s 2015 Annual Convention on Jan. 23 but she could not attend in person due to pressing legislative matters.

Sen. Rivers is a rising star within the Washington State Senate who recently voted to pass the comprehensive transportation funding package which now sits in the House for additional action.
After a term in the House Sen. Rivers won the 18th District Senate seat in 2012 and quickly moved up through the ranks having been named Senate Majority Whip and to the powerful Rules and Transportation Committees. Sen. Rivers is a champion of prevailing wage and workers’ comp reform and is the prime sponsor of legislation to restore the Public Works Trust Fund which helps municipalities build major infrastructure projects. She consistently backs issues important to the construction industry. In fact Sen. Rivers has the highest four-year AGC legislative vote record in the Legislature!
