Glyn Slattery named 2015 AGC Contractor of the Year
Other 2015 honorees include Ian McFarland of University Mechanical Contractors Bryan Kelley of Oles Morrison Rinker Baker LLP and Lee Kilcup of GLY Construction.
Glyn Slattery of Lydig Construction was presented with AGC of Washingtons 2015 Contractor of the Year award at Jan. 23s Annual Convention held at Seattles Four Seasons Hotel. Subcontractor of the Year honors went to Ian McFarland of University Mechanical Contractors and the Associate of the Year award was presented to Bryan Kelley of Oles Morrison Rinker Baker LLP.
The AGC Education Foundation also presented its 2015 Distinguished Service Award to Lee Kilcup of GLY Construction.

Glyn Slattery has been an active leader in AGC throughout his career. In 2014 Glyn collaborated with the City of Seattle to improve communications teamwork and efficiency. His input and participation resulted in a more engaging and harmonious project environment. AGC recognized and thanked Glyn for his hard work and helping to create a better climate for the construction industry. Glyn currently serves on the AGC of Washington Board of Trustees.
As the chair of AGC’s popular Future Leadership Forum (FLF) Ian McFarland led the group’s growth and expansion over 2014. Under Ian’s leadership and enthusiastic advocacy FLF grew to more than 300 participants. Ian headed a restructuring of FLF’s governance while enhancing the educational networking and community-service offerings of the program. Ian was recently named to AGC’s Government Affairs committee.
As 2014 chair of the Future Leadership Forum (FLF)’s Education Subcommittee Bryan Kelley developed FLF’s 2014 Leadership Series a new package of leading-edge seminars geared toward developing the professional skills of the next generation of industry leaders. Under Bryan’s leadership the series proved popular with nearly every session selling out. Bryan is a member of AGC’s Legal Affairs committee.
Lee Kilcup has served as the president of both the AGC Education Foundation and AGC of Washington Board of Trustees. He has played an instrumental role in establishing the Foundation’s Leadership Series which launched in May 2014. Lee continues to generously give back to the industry in retirement through his participation in various peer groups and executive trainings. Lee and his wife Anne joined the Foundation’s Legacy Society in 2012.
Milestone Membership Awards
Additionally AGC recognized a number of firms for their long-time membership. For 25 years of membership AGC presented milestone recognition awards to Doty Beardsley Rosengren & Company; Exxel Pacific; Harbor Pacific Contractors; Global Construction Services; Goldfinch Brothers; Ken Leingang Excavating; McDowell Northwest; McGraw-Hill Construction; Poppoff Inc.; Wayne’s Roofing Inc. and Pease Construction (29 years). A fifty-year milestone recognition award also went to CalPortland.
