AGC's BUILD PAC honors Senator Ann Rivers with 2015 Legislator of the Year award
Senator Ann Rivers was presented with AGCs BUILD PAC 2015 Legislator of the Year award at AGC of Washington’s 2015 Annual Convention on Jan. 23 at the Seattle Four Seasons Hotel.
Sen. Rivers is a rising star within the Washington State senate. After a term in the House she won the 18th District Senate seat in 2012 and quickly moved up through the ranks having been named Senate Majority Whip and a member of the powerful Ways and Means Committee. Sen. Rivers is a champion of prevailing wage and workers’ comp reform and is the prime sponsor of legislation to restore the Public Works Trust Fund which helps municipalities build major infrastructure projects. She consistently backs issues important to the construction industry. In fact Sen. Rivers has the highest four-year AGC legislative vote record in the Legislature.
