American Construction Flies the Colors: Purple and Gold
In support of the successful University of Washington football season and the appearance of ESPNs College Gameday show on the UW campus before the recent Oregon game American Construction Company proudly supported the University by flying the purple and gold flag off the SR520 Bridge.
American Construction and the University of Washington partnered to maximize the University’s exposure during the inaugural visit of ESPN College Gameday to Seattle and helped promote community involvement through the event.
The University provided the flag and American Construction provided the means to hoist it by utilizing their derrick barge Guardian. This newly commissioned 200-ton derrick barge is constructing the west connection of the SR 520 bridge by providing pile-driving and construction services.
As American Construction’s business-development manager Matt Childs said “We are proud to be able to support the University of Washington during this exciting event and showcase one of the many leading construction projects in the State of Washington. Go Dawgs!” The flag was flown the entire weekend and was in full view of all traffic crossing the bridge.
