WEST SEATTLE LINK EXTENTION OPEN HOUSE – March 3
Calling all interested contractors!

 

Sound Transit’s West Seattle Link Extension (WSLE) will provide fast and reliable regional light rail connections to the dense residential and job centers in these key corridors in Seattle. The West Seattle Extension will add approximately 4.1 miles of light rail transit (LRT) service from Seattle’s SODO neighborhood to the Alaska Junction neighborhood.

 

OPEN HOUSE EVENT FOR THE WEST SEATTLE LINK EXTENSION 

Sound Transit will hold an Open House event to provide an update on the West Seattle Link Extension (WSLE) project. The event will be held at the Ruth Fisher Board Room at Union Station, 401 S Jackson St., WA 98104. Advance registration is not required. Attendees will be required to sign in at the event.

Intended audience – Contractors and Professional Service Providers. March 03, 2026, 9:00am-11:00 am 

Attendance will be in person only.  Presentation materials can be shared with those who are unable to attend.   Email dccprocurementhelp@soundtransit.org for more information.  The event will include an introductory presentation to the WSLE project, followed by a “question and answer” session and time for small business networking. Sound Transit will be seeking and encouraging feedback on updates to the project packaging, timeline, and the proposed contracting approaches. 

 

FOLLOW-UP GENERAL CONTRACTOR 1:1 MEETINGS (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY) 

Interested General Contractors are encouraged to register for follow-up 1:1 meetings with Sound Transit. These meetings will provide an opportunity to the General Contracting community  to address specific questions related to packaging and schedule.  . Each 1:1 meeting will be 30-minutes in duration and will be held virtually.  A limited number of time slots are available for 1:1 meetings, and registration for up to three attendees begins on March 04, 2026. Register at:  dccprocurementhelp@soundtransit.org.  Please indicate  the names and titles of attendees.   

The event is not a pre-bid meeting or advertisement, and any information provided must not be used as a basis for future bidding. Sound Transit will not reimburse any costs incurred in connection with either the Open House event or 1:1 meetings.
